Guiding Rust
Guiding Rust is a two-day course on Rust architecture and design patterns for engineers who read, review, and steer LLM-generated Rust.
Student Materials
Each project repository is a GitHub template. Use the Use this template button to create a repository for your pair, or clone it directly:
git clone https://github.com/PLeVasseur/guiding-rust-canscan.git
git clone https://github.com/PLeVasseur/guiding-rust-framecache.git
git clone https://github.com/PLeVasseur/guiding-rust-guardian.git
The repositories intentionally start incomplete. Project A begins without a
root crate, and Project C begins without ParticipantArbiter; their root CI
becomes green after the corresponding participant-owned skeleton milestone.
Before Class
- Install Rustup. Each repository pins Rust 1.89.0.
- Bring the coding agent you normally use for Rust work.
- Work in pairs and use one project repository per pair.
- For Project A, allow at least 6 GB of free disk space before generating the optional 4.59 GB performance fixture.
